Personal profile
Research interests
In his current doctoral research project, Kengoro explores inscriptions and manuscripts written in NWS languages and establishes (1) new linguistic criteria for the identification of northern Hebrew features and (2) metrics for the assessment of the regional association of biblical texts. He takes a variationist sociolinguistic approach to deal with complicated issues of ancient Hebrew varieties. His doctoral research project was initially inspired by his MA research project on a comparative study of two texts, namely MT-Ps 20 and its rare extra-biblical counterpart (Amherst 63 xii 11–19). Kengoro hopes that through his current doctoral project and other things (editorial assistantship, publishing, and teaching) entrusted to him, he will be able to contribute to the field and serve people in academia and beyond.
