Biography

Khaleel Malik is a Senior Lecturer in Innovation Management and a member of the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research centre in AMBS. He has engaged in research and consultancy with a variety of organisations including industrial firms, public and private sector bodies. Khaleel has worked at the University of Manchester since 2000, where he has served as Head of the Innovation, Strategy & Sustainability Group in the IMP Division of AMBS (2014-2019). Before starting his PhD at PREST (Manchester) in 1996, Khaleel worked in the engineering industry for six years, where he held design/development and industrial marketing roles having originally trained in the field of mechanical and production engineering.

Research interests

Khaleels research and teaching interests focus on the strategic management of technology and innovation within firms; technology transfer; digitalisation of R&D; university-industry linkages; and innovation policy-related studies. He teaches on a variety of courses at undergraduate and masters levels and supervises PhD/ DBA researchers in areas of innovation management and innovation policy.
