Overview
Lesley is a Senior Lecturer in Biostatistics whose research interests include evaluating psychological and digital interventions for people experiencing serious mental health conditions. This includes a portfolio of randomised controlled trials, service evaluations and intensive longitudinal studies.
She leads the statistical component of the ClinPsyD (Doctorate in Clinical Psychology) programme and contributes to the undergraduate medical teaching. She also supervises several doctoral research project carried out by ClinPsyD and PhD students within the Division of Psychology and Mental Health.
Biography
Lesley graduated from the University of York in 2009 with a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics. She was then employed on an NIHR Research Methods Fellowship at the University of Manchester which included an MSc in Statistics during the first year, followed by two years working within the Biostatistics department on a range of applied projects. Following this she secured an NIHR Doctoral Fellowship to pursue research in statistical methods for intensive longitudinal data, with applications to Experience Sampling Methodology. Within this she explored methods for the design and analysis of three-level, hierarchical data. In January 2016 Lesley was appointed Lecturer in Biostatistics at the University of Manchester.
