Personal profile

Overview

I'm interested in using AI to enhance decision-making in data-intensive environments such as fitness trackers and information dashboards. My research utilises a mixed methods approach to gain deeper insights into human behaviour with computing systems. This involves leveraging human-centred methods, tools and pipelines that facilitate wrangling and mine behavioural patterns. By doing so, I develop computational user models of interest, engagement, interaction barriers, and knowledge acquisition.

Currently, I focus on two primary areas. Firstly, within healthcare, I investigate the implementation of eXplainable AI to support critical decision-making in environments such as the ICU, clinical dashboards, and health tracking applications. Secondly, I delve into the integration of AI within workplace settings, exploring its potential to enhance workforce well-being and performance.
