My research is primarily focused on investigating the long-term neurodevelopmental impact of in utero exposure to maternal medication. I am currently working on a project (https://www.imi-conception.eu/) that is focused development and utilisation of research tools, methods and frameworks that can enhance the efficiency of pharmacovigilance practices in order to prevent foetal harm and to allow women and health care professionals to make informed decisions regarding medication use during pregnancy. I also have a strong interest in the association between maternal mental health and infant development, specifically in a cross-cultural context. I have worked on longitudinal studies in the UK and India with a focus on understanding the role cultural differences in research and how to account for this using data harmonisation techniques.
