I am an NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Prosthodontics and Honorary Speciality Registrar in Prosthodontics at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester. My research explores the definition and measurement of quality in primary dental care. My interests include the use of routinely available data and health informatics in quality measurement of general dental practitioners.

I completed my undergraduate dental training at the University of Leeds, where I also completed an intercalated degree in Biomedical Ethics (Healthcare Ethics). 
Following Dental Foundation Training in Leeds, I undertook a 12-month Dental Core Training role in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with Health Education England in the North West. During this time, I completed the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery examinations (RCSP Glasgow)
From 2016-2020 I completed an Academic Clinical Fellowship in Primary Dental Care, during which I undertook my PhD titled 'Defining and Measuring Quality in Primary Dental Care', supervised by Martin Tickle, Anne-Marie Glenny and Lucy O'Malley. I also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in the Clinical Context through Edge Hill University.
In March 2021, I started an NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Prosthodontics position at the University of Manchester.
