I am a research fellow interested in neuropsychiatric conditions in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), with a specific focus on neurocognitive function and cognitive fatigue. I am also interested in overlaps with other chronic diseases. My current research is focusing on:

  • Phenotyping cognitive dysfunction in SLE to better understand potential treatment targets
  • Compensatory brain mechanisms in those with cognitive dysfunction and how this may affect cognitive fatigue in SLE
  • Blood brain barrier dysfunction in SLE and how this affects cognitive dysfunction
  • Brain fog or subjective cognitive impairment in chronic conditions
