As a member of the  senior leadership team for the undergraduate medical degree I am responsible for the design, implementation of curriculum developments and delivery of teaching and learning across all 6 years of the programme.

This innovative CPD programme is a collaboration across Greater Manchester CCGs, Health Innovation Manchester and the Universty of Manchester. The programme provides precision education to support accuracy in decision-making by community clinicians.

It has been shortlisted for the Health Service Journal (HSJ)  Value Awards 2020 and the International Association of Medical Education Europe (AMEE) Patil Innovation Awards 2020

Dermatology International Fellowship Programme

The Dermatology Centre , Salford Royal Foundation Programme 


This programme attracts senior residents  in dermatology from all over the world to complete a 1 year fellowhsip in our academically leading centre of excellence in Salford.

The MSc in Skin Ageing and Aesthetic Medicine programme is a 'first of its kind' in the UK . The multidisciplinary international faculty deliver a unique part time distance learning curriculum heralded by Higher Education England as the 'gold standard' in training for non invasive aesthetic practice. As Educational Programme Director it has been my responsibility to combine the latest educational methodologies with teaching delivery to create a curriculum that inspires future leaders in the field

Biography

I undertook both my undergraduate degrees in the beautiful city of Edinburgh moving to England for postgraduate medical training in London , Leeds and Manchester where I currently work as an NHS Consultant Dermatologist at Salford Royal Foundation Trust. I have been involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education since 2008, with particular experience in curriculum design and implementation. As part of this work I have developed a keen interest in critical thinking methodologies related to healthcare professional practice (Clinical Reasoning) leading the integration of this withinin the undergraduate MBChB programme.
