Mingyang Lu received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Manchester, Manchester, U.K., in 2014 and 2018, respectively. He is currently a Researcher with the University of Manchester. He has published numerous papers in the research field of eddy current sensors, magnetic induction sensing, Electromagnetic (EM) Non-destructive testing (NDT), finite-element method (FEM) modelling software packages on EM analysis, and inversion of EM properties for metallic structure. (Google Scholar: Over 55 technical articles, Google scholar citations >1200, H-index > 20)

He was a recipient of the 2020, 2021 IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Outstanding Reviewer Award. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, Associate Editor of Frontiers In Sensors, and Guest Editors of Journal of Visualized Experiments, Sensors, and Symmetry.

He has conducted over 300 reviews for 39 prestigious Journals and conferences.
