Overview

Mabel Sánchez Barrioluengo is Presidential Fellow at the Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester since December 2018. Previously she worked as Research Fellow at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission as part of the Unit of Human Capital and Employment. She has a degree in Statistics and holds a PhD from the Technical University of Valencia and INGENIO (CSIC-UPV) with a particular focus on higher education studies. She has been Visiting Scholar at CORD (Arizona State University, Phoenix, USA), CHEPS (University of Twente, The Netherlands) and MIoIR (University of Manchester, UK).

Her main research interests are in economics of education (specifically higher education), employment and human capital.

Her research has been published in several international journals such as Research Policy, Scientometrics or Science and Public Policy.
