Overview

Nia re-joined the Manchester Centre for Health Psychology in 2022 having previously completed her PhD in the centre in 2020. Nia has worked across a broad range of research projects related to clinical and health psychology, and more recently in public health. Nia has a strong interest in behavioural science, working alongside her current role as a behavioural scientist within the Department of Health and Social Care.

Nia is now working two days a week as a lecturer on the BSc Psychology, including responsibilities in teaching, academic advising and co-managing the BSc Psychology social media presence.

Research interests

Behaviour change across a range of health behaviours (dietary, smoking, alcohol consumption), obesity related behaviours, public health, qualitative methods, stakeholder involvement.
