Nicholas Omoding

I obtained a BEng (1st class Hons) in Civil and Building Engineering from Kyambogo University (Uganda) prior to earning an MSc in Structural Engineering (Distinction) from the University of Manchester in 2015. I am currently investigating the mechanical degradation of concrete under sediment-laden hydrodynamic flows for my PhD. Before returning to Manchester, I worked as a Structural Engineer with the National Housing and Construction Company, one of the largest construction firms in Uganda.

My current research interests include concrete durability, high-performance concretes, the use of recycled waste aggregates, and experimental fluid dynamics.
