Biography

Nicolas is a Professor of Peace and Conflict Studies and the Executive Director of the Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute at the University of Manchester. Prior to his appointment, Nicolas was a Professor of international relations at the Australian National University, and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Birmingham. He graduated with his PhD in international relations from Sciences Po Paris (Institute for Political Studies in Paris) in 2010. 

Research interests

Nicolas Lemay-Hébert's research interests include state-building and intervention issues in Asia/Pacific and beyond. He is particularly interested in local resistance to international interventions and the political economy of interventions.
