Nikola Milošević has undergraduate and master degree from Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Univeristy of Belgrade with focus on computer science. He has about 4 years of industrial experience, working in various industries (Banking, SaaS, Telco) before returning to academia for a PhD degree in text mining at the University of Manchester. His PhD was focusing on information extraction from tables in biomedical literature. After a PhD, he started working on a post-doc possition at Manchester Institute of Innovation Research, Alliance Manchester Business School and School of Computer Science on KNOWMAK project. Nikola's part of the KNOWMAK project focuses on developing a database of social innovation using web crawling, machine learning, information extraction and other text mining techniques. Nikola is also part of MASK project, that is looking how natural language processing can enable sharing of electronic health records, while protecting privacy of patients.
At the moment, Nikola is a Research associate at the School of Computer Science and he is associate member of Manchester Institute of Innovation research.
