Personal profile
Overview
I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Manchester, UK. I joined the Advanced Processor Technologies (APT) group in September 2020, where I work under the supervision of Prof. Mikel Luján and Prof. Gavin Brown.
My research interests lie in the areas of heterogeneous and special-purpose computer architectures, with my PhD research focusing on the near-data acceleration of machine learning. My PhD work is supported by the Department of Computer Science Kilburn Award and Arm (as part of Prof. Luján’s Arm/RAEng Research Chair award).
I have also been fascinated by the theory of computation and cellular automata. I hold a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Crete, GR, where I worked under the supervision of Prof. Apostolos Dollas on accelerating cellular automata simulations with the use of FPGAs.
