Overview
Between 2018 and 2021, I led a National Institute of Health Research (NIHR), Health Technology Assessment Programme-funded project to develop and evaluate an intervention to enhance de-escalation in adult acute and forensic mental health inpatient settings. I am co-investigator on a current NIHR Programme Grant for Applied Research, led by Professor Katherine Berry, which is trialling an intervention to increase access to psychological therapies in adult acute mental health inpatient settings. I am field lead for mental health nursing in the undergraduate BNurs programme.
