Overview

Panos Constantinides is Professor of Digital Innovation at Alliance Manchester Business School. He holds a PhD from the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge and he is a Fellow of the Cambridge Digital Innovation Centre. Panos is one of the co-founders of the European Digital Platforms Research Network (EU-DPRN). 

His more recent research is divided into two broad topics: human-AI collaboration;  the strategy and governance of digital platform ecosystems. His research has involved close engagement with organizations across sectors including healthcare, financial services and banking, energy, automotive, enterprise software, and mobile app stores. He has been awarded research grants from the British Academy, UKRI and institutional grants from the University of Cambridge and the University of Manchester among others. His research has been published in FT50 journals such as Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, the Journal of Business Venturing and Organisation Studies, among others. 

Panos has led the development of interdisciplinary curricula at the intersection of IS, strategy and organizational change. He has taught courses on digital strategy, leading digital transformation, platform ecosystems, digital health, global sourcing and innovation, organizational change, and research methods, and his teaching has spanned the BSc, MBA, MSc, Executive Doctorate, and Ph.D. programs. Panos has developed and delivered leadership and executive development programs for major corporations in the areas of digital disruption and digital transformation, platform strategy and leading digital health. He is currently offering the open program Leading Digital Transformation at Alliance Manchester Business School. 

Panos is the author of the book Digital Transformation in Healthcare: An Ecosystem Approach that has received endorsements from business school academics, and chief executives in healthcare and technology consulting. He regularly advises senior business leaders, public sector officials and policy makers on how to manage the transition to new technologies and new business models in the digital economy and is a frequent contributor to media and practitioner outlets including Concurrences, Competition Policy International, PYMNTS, Thinkers50, MIT Sloan Management Review and others
