Overview

Patricia is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at Alliance Manchester Business School.  She has as Masters in Finance and International Management from Stockholm School of Economics. She also holds a Post-Graduate Qualification in Teaching (PGCE) and is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Patricia is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA ) and a ABNLP qualified Master Coach and NLP Master Practitioner.

 

Patricia has extensive experience in the finance sector including derivatives and wealth management where she has worked for over 11 years in large financial corporations such as Citigroup, JP Morgan, Nomura and Barclays in Manchester, London and New York.

 

Patricia has worked with a wide range of financial markets products, including structured funds, structured products, OTC options, notes, swaps and warrants, and proprietary index derivatives.

Patricia has worked with a variety of client types including banks, asset managers, insurance companies, large corporates, fund distributors and other financial institutions. Geographically, Patricia has worked with clients from the Nordic countries, Belgium, Netherlands, Israel and UK.

 

Patricia has created, authored and teaches on a range of courses.

Patricia is an experienced presenter from her professional career. She has presented to Individual CEO’s and CFO’s to conferences of over 1000 participants.

She has presented at Association of Business School conference in 2015, presenting her working paper; “How to enhance learning of large groups through IT”. In 2014 she also presented at the Specialist Conference at Huddersfield University on “Engaging students”.

Patricia is also a regular presenter for Alliance Manchester Business Schools new Teaching Assistants and "showcase" conferences.

 

In 2019, Patricia was awarded Faculty of Humanities AMBS Outstanding teaching awardIn 2017 Patricia was awarded AMBS Academic of the year Full-time MBA. She has also been nominated for numerous other teaching awards such as Faculty Teacher of the Year and Most inspiring Lecturer.

 

In addition, Patricia has been the key speaker on several large charity functions, helping to raise over £500,000 for the charities over the last eight years.

Originally Swedish, now living in Manchester, Patricia has a colourful background. She has lived in Sweden, France, Belgium, Spain, USA before settling in the UK. She has travelled extensively and visited remote parts of Asia as well Africa and Latin America. She is open minded and adapts very well to different cultures. Patricia speaks several languages fluently. She truly enjoys diversity in life.

Patricia is married and has four children. Philanthropy is a large part of Patricia's life and she is highly involved with several charitable organisations.

Some irrelevant facts; Patricia loves Swedish cheese and salt liquorice. She has recorded two demo CD’s and have done an unintended pass on fellow Swede Sven-Goran Ericsson…
