Peter Duberly

I'm a PhD researcher in the Department of Politics, supervised by Dr Ian Bruff and Dr Daniel Silver. My project traces new community solidarities and alternatives to neoliberal common sense through the way local communities in Manchester have attempted to save, reclaim and inhabit urban spaces in response to ongoing processes of austerity. 

My research interests include ethnographic and participatory methodologies, care and social reproduction theories, situated and disruption-oriented political economy and prefigurative politics. Specifically in relation to cultivating and practising alternatives to neoliberal capitalism.
