Overview
I currently lead the Centre for Primary Care, which is part of the NIHR School for Primary Care Research
My work is largely within the Long-Term Conditions Theme, with a focus on mental health, multimorbidity, and service delivery.
I am the Health Services Research Speciality Lead for the NIHR CRN (https://sites.google.com/nihr.ac.uk/hsrtoolkit/home) and an NIHR Senior Investigator
I am also an honorary Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners
Research interests
My main interests concern: effective ways of improving management of long term conditions, with a focus on multimorbidity, the delivery of effective psychological therapies for common mental health problems, and the effective recruitment of patients to randomised trials
My collaborations
I collaborate with the Centre for Biostatistics and Health Economics within the Institute of Population Health. with the Institute of Brain, Behavioiour and Mental Health and the School of Nursing within the Faculty, and with colleagues at a range of universities in the UK and internationally
Methodological knowledge
My methodological interests include evidence synthesis, RCT methodology, psychometrics, and the analysis of mediation and moderation
