Philippe Laredo is Professor at the Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, and Directeur de Recherche in the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire Sciences Innovations and Societes (LISIS) from CNRS, INRA and University Paris Est. He has been the coordinator of the PRIME network of excellence and is presently coordinating a European research infrastructure on data for science and innovation studies (RISIS)
His research interests are in breakthrough innovation, research and innovation policies, and on the development of databases and 'positioning' indicators for science and innovation studies. Recent foci of interest have been the internationalisation of large firm RDI activities, new technology emergence (focusing on nano S&T), innovation policy instruments (such as fiscal policies) and questioning the relevance of our accumulated knwoledge about innovation policies.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
