Personal profile

Overview

I am the Airbus sponsored Resarch Fellow in the School of Materials at the University of Manchester. My research activities are focused on understanding and predicting process-microstructure-property relationships of complex engineering alloys through modelling and simulation.

I completed my PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the North Carolina State University in 2012. I spent the following 6 years at the Max Planck Institut für Eisenforschung in Düsseldorf leading a resarch group on the microstructural modelling of materials. During this time I was also affiliated with the Aachen Institute for Advanced Study in Computational Engineering Science.

I am currently active in the Engineering and Process Metallurgy group where I am co-investigator on EPSRC-funded programme grants 'LightForm' and 'NEWAM', and will be leading the microstructure modelling activities.
