Radha Kessar  received her first degree  from Panjab University in 1991 and  a Ph.D. from  The Ohio State University in 1995  under the  supervision  of  Professor Ronald Solomon.   She  held  postdoctoral  positions at Yale University, the University of Minnesota, Oxford University,   and  faculty positions  at  The Ohio State University (Assistant Professor),  the University of Aberdeen (Senior Lecturer,  Reader, and Professor) and  City, University of London (Professor). Since  April  2024, she has  held the Fielden Chair in Pure Mathematics at the University of Manchester.
