Overview

Ralph is a Research Associate on the British Election Study and a doctoral researcher in Politics at the University of Manchester, supervised by Prof Rob Ford and Prof Ed Fieldhouse. His PhD research estimates the effect of university on political values through analysis of longitudinal data.

His MRes dissertation addressed the significance of a Parliamentary candidate’s localness to electoral performance, and prior to his doctoral studies, he pursued a career in research and policy, including roles at Teach First, The Challenge and at the think-tank Demos.
