Personal profile
Overview
Reynard graduated from the University of Surrey with a BSc(Hons) Chemistry. He has since worked for Waters Corp in their mass spectrometry team as a Systems Test and Installation engineer, which involved getting to know the details of a mass spectrometer's insides. The role also encompassed customer facing skills involving travelling to site to install the instruments in the customer's laboratory.
Reynard joined the University of Manchester in 2006 with the opening of the MIB - the Manchester Institute for Biotechnology (or as was then the Manchester Interdisciplinary Biocentre) - as an Experimental Officer and his current very similar role of Senior Technical Specialist (Mass Spectrometry). Reynard is part of the FSE Mass Spectrometry and Separations Facililty based in the MIB and offering mass spectrometry services within the department and across University.
