Overview
Richard is an atmospheric scientist at the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences with a research focus on climate impacts from land-use change. He is working on the CIDAR project exploring deforestation impacts on rainfall in the Amazon Rainforest.
Research includes:
- Application of data science methods to complex datasets.
- Internal model variability within regional climate models.
- Disentangling changes to urban heat island intensities over time; urbanisation versus background climate drivers.
