Research interests
I am interested in applying a wide range of analytical techniques to study the geochemistry and petrology of igneous systems on Earth and other planetary bodies. My PhD research focuses on using and refining geochemical methods to constrain volatile budgets and quantify volatile emissions during the most voluminous phase of eruptions in the younger Deccan Traps, which occurred around 66 million years ago and coincided with the extinction of non-avian dinosaurs.
Biography
I'm a Dual Award Joint Doctoral Programme fellow pursuing my PhD in Geological Sciences at The University of Manchester, UK and the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. I'm primarily interested in Geochemistry and Igneous processes on Earth and other rocky planetary bodies.
