Overview

Dr Morgan is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at The University of Manchester and an Honorary Consultant in Medical Oncology at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.

He graduated from University College London and completed his general medical training in Oxford and London, before undertaking Specialty Training in Medical Oncology in Oxford and Manchester. During Specialty Training, he was awarded a CRUK Clinical Research Training Fellowship and completed his PhD in Cancer Biology at The University of Manchester, under the supervision of Professor Stephen Taylor and Professor Gordon Jayson. He continued his research in the Mitosis and Cancer Pharmacology group as an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer, after which he was appointed to his current role.

His research interests include hereditary ovarian cancer and developing new biomarkers to aid first-line therapy for ovarian cancer. He collaborates with expert scientists within The University and leading clinicians within the NHS. He is a Principal Investigator for several clinical trials in ovarian cancer at The Christie.
