Personal profile

Biography

I came to Manchester in 2009. Before that, I worked in Santa Barbara, Berkeley and Bologna, the University where I studied as an undergraduate and then obtained my PhD.

Research interests

My main interests are the history of Egypt in the Graeco-Roman period, Late Antiquity and the rise of Christianity. I use papyri as privileged sources, and Manchester is the right place to be since the John Rylands Library at Deansgate holds one of the richest collections of the world.
