Overview

Rujin is a postgraduate researcher in Architecture at the University of Manchester. Her research focuses on how the built environment can improve the well-being of older adults, specifically examining the impact of outdoor spaces on their daily activities and quality of life. Using a mixed-methods approach, she investigates the spatial practices and everyday experiences of older people in urban communities in China, while also addressing issues of inequality and marginalization in urban environments.
