Overview

I began my academic journey by studying for an undergraduate degree in sports psychology before moving over to sociology and obtaining a master’s in health sociology with a particular focus on medical anthropology. My broad research interests revolve around disease, health and illness and their interactions in society through the lenses of Science and Technology studies as well as medical anthropology. Given my current PhD topic I have a particular interest in the interactions between neurosciences and sociology. My PhD research aims to investigate how people understand and research Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE). This investigation particularly focuses on the various practices of CTE and concussion in different spaces and/or contexts.
