Biography

Saleema Kauser joined Manchester Business School in February 2000 as a research fellow within the Executive Development Centre. Her research interests include the management and success of international strategic alliances, small firms, women managers, religion, spirituality and ethics. Her teaching areas include strategic management, business management and ethics, research methods.  Saleema received her first degree from the University of London, her MSc degree from Cass Business School, London, her MBA from the University of Aston, and a PhD from Warwick Business School, University of Warwick. Her research interests include gender inequality and feminism to increase the visibility of women from diverse and underrepresented societies to help re-define workplaces and business ethics, religion and spirituality and its impact on business and society. 

Dr Kauser is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Business Ethics and Strategy. Saleema is also the Associate Head of Social Responsibility and Civic Engagement in the People, Management and Organization (PMO) Division at AMBS. She is alo a member of the Work and Equality Institute. Externally she has made a pivotal contribution in the area of leadership for women in Greater Manchester by serving on a Steering Group for the Queen Bee Coaching program - a pro-bona leadership development initiative for women in civic society. Saleema also serves as a Board member for the Pankhurst Trust and Manchester Women's Aid. She is a member of the LEAP - PRME working group on the sustainability mindset
