I have been teaching in Higher Education since 2021. My specialism is dissident performance and artistic practices with a particular interest in Czech and Slovak performance art, feminist and queer theory, and live art.
I have previously taught on a variety of modules across several institutions and am currently teaching on Post-Thatcher British Theatre, Theatre and Performance 1 and 2, and Theatres of Modernity.
I have published on populism in peformance, Marxist Humanism, narcissism, and have an upcoming publication about feminist performance in Slovakia. I completed my PhD thesis at Queen Mary University of Manchester under the supervision of Professor Dominic Johnson and Professor Nicholas Ridout. My thesis was titled 'Despite Overwhelming Greyness: Slovak and Czech Performance from the 1960s to 1989' and dicusses pluralising approaches to writing histories of performance from cultural peripheries.
