Sarah Redicker is a PhD researcher in development policy and management at the Global Development Institute, University of Manchester. Her research seeks to understand the impacts of climate change on agricultural systems and the role of irrigation as a buffer for smallholder farmers to cope with rainfall variability. As a part of her PhD research, she conducted field work in Ghana and collected a panel household data from more than 600 households in 2019 and 2020. Sarah holds a Bachelor degree in Sustainable Tourism from the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences in Germany and two Masters’ degrees from the University of Passau in Germany. Her first Masters’ degree is in Geography with a focus on South-East Asian cultural studies and her second Masters’ degree is in Development Studies with focus on development economics. Sarah previously worked as student research assistant for the IndORGANIC research project and led one of the data collection teams for a RCT with 1200 farming household in Indonesia.
