Personal profile
Overview
I am an organisation theory scholar and Lecturer in Fashion Business and Technology at The University of Manchester. My research focuses on how emerging technologies - particularly AI and Web 3.0 - are reshaping organisational practices, authorship, and value creation in the fashion industry. I explore how fashion brands navigate challenges around ownership, hyperreality, and sustainability through AI-assisted design, and how marginalised communities, especially queer individuals, use style as a form of world-making and resistance. Across these strands, I am interested in how fashion - as both an industry and intimate cultural field - organises, resists, and reimagines the future.
