Miss
Shahd is Doctoral Candidate at the Manchester International Law Centre where she is a recipent of the School of Law Scholarship, her current research takes on a semiotic approach to navigate the legal arena surrounding corporate involvement in war. Shahd is also a researcher and a consultant in Business and Human Rights especially with relation to the MENA area.
She has previously taken up research and consultancy positions at Sciences Po, Paris; HEC, Paris; Lawyers for Palestinian Human Rights; Syrian Legal Development; 7iber and most recently the European Centre for Constitutional and Human Rights.
Prior to her current position, Shahd obtained her Masters Degree in International Economic Law at Sciences Po, Paris where she was the reciepent of the Emilie Boutmy Scholarship. And her bachelors degree in Law from the University of Jordan.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
