Overview

Shiyao Guo is a first-year PhD student in Translation and Intercultural Studies, whose project explores ethical issues, positioning, role and identity of interpreting officers in the military during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (1937-1946) through a combined socio-narrative and case study approach.
