My PhD project, Prioritising Outcomes in Children with Hearing Loss (PONCHO), focuses on developing a Core Outcome Set (COS) for pediatric hearing loss using the OMERACT framework and Delphi methodology. The research aims to identify and prioritise outcomes that matter most to children, parents, clinicians, and researchers, determine appropriate and standardised measurement instruments, and establish recommended time points for assessment. By integrating perspectives from both UK and Chinese stakeholders, the project seeks to create an internationally relevant, evidence-based framework that improves the consistency, comparability, and clinical utility of outcome reporting in pediatric audiology.
