Personal profile

Research interests

My research interest focus on the governance and management of transnational higher education (TNHE) partnership, especially between UK and China, with decision making power allocated among different external and internal stakeholders from UK's and China's higher education partners. I also look at how China's TNHE partnership strategies influence particularly the UK and how the UK responds at the national and insitutional levels.

Overview

Huili Si (Stella) is a PhD researcher at Manchester Institution of Education.  Before joining The University of Manchester, she has extensive professional experience in transnational higher edcuation partnership as project manager, with the responsibilities covering all-round tasks from risk assessment to implementations. Based on her past operational experience, she is interested in practice-oriented research. Now her research interest focus on the governance and management of transnational higher education (TNHE) partnership, especially Sino-UK joint institutes and oversea branch campus based in China, with decision making power allocated among different external and internal stakeholders from UK's and China's universities. She also looks at how China's TNHE partnership strategies influence the outside world particular the UK and how the UK responds at the national and institutional levels.
