My research expertise is in educational assessment and measurement, systematic literature reviews, and quantitative research methods.

I have worked in various research projects as Research Associate/Assistant at the University of Manchester, including:  

• ‘Socioeconomic disadvantage and the attainment gap: Review of the relationship between socioeconomic disadvantage and the attainment gap in the English education system’ (funded by Education Endowment Foundation): conducting systematic literature review (including meta-analyses).
• ‘Unpacking and measuring financial literacy self-efficacy of millennial mature students in the UK’ (funded by the University of Manchester): designing questionnaire, collecting data, conducting analysis and measure validation using the Rasch model.
• ‘Mathematics Education 5-14 and Gender: Review of affect, attitudes, and aspirations’, (funded by Joint Mathematical Council, 2021): supporting with systematic literature review and writing relevant report.
• ‘Increasing Competence and Confidence in Algebra and Multiplicative Structures (ICCAMS)’, Effectiveness trial, (funded by Education Endowment Foundation, 2018): supporting with data collection in secondary schools across England. 
• ‘Unsettling Understandings of Maths Anxiety, Systematic literature review’, (funded by British Academy, 2017): supporting with systematic literature review, document analysis, writing relevant report, and presenting results at a British Academy conference.

I am also part of the Co-convenor team of the European Educational Research Association’s (EERA) Emerging Researchers’ Group.
