Research interests

Sook's research centres around gender inequalities at work, and advanced quantitative methods. She has contributed to several government-funded projects on the gender pay gap,  theoretical sampling design, and methodological advancements on the use of administrative data in official statistics. 

Social responsibility

Alongside my research, I have keen interest in developing/promoting programmes that facilitate a modern research workflow in R and Stata, which can be accessible to individuals with social science backgrounds, or with less computational skills. I hope my activity will encourage fellow female researchers to be more visible in user-contributed programming languages.
