Biography

Stefano completed his Ph.D. in the immunology and microbiology of gastrointestinal helminths at the University of Manchester in 2019 in Richard Grencis' group. In 2020 he joined the Andrew MacDonald lab as a postdoc where his resrearch broadened to include fundamental human lung immunology and the immunology of respiraroty fungal disease. In 2024 Stefano joined the Lizzie Mann lab to undertake research into the relationships that exist between antibiotics, the microbiota and the human lung immune environment.
