I am a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Climate Change & Health at the Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute (University of Manchester). Care for the climate and communities is central to my work.
I research vital mobilities -- how goods, such as blood, saline IV solution, and oxygen move from points manufacture to points of care, and how such medical mobilities can be made more robust in a changing climate.
I wrote Under the Weather: Reimagining Mobility in the Climate Crisis (McGill-Queen’s University Press, 2022).
I am currently writing a trade press book titled Handle with Care: Hidden Stories of What Keeps Us Alive in a Changing World.
