Overview

Dr Blakeway’s first two degrees were awarded by The University of Liverpool where he achieved a Bachelor of Philosophy and a Masters’ Degree (with distinction).  He completed a PhD in Computer Science in 2015 which was awarded by John Moore’s University, this investigated adaptive self-learning MANETs with the incorporation of cognition, there has been several publications from this work.  The research in MANETs is continuing and has recently began to incorporate other disciplines such as game theory.  Stewart is currently collaborating with researchers in the UK, Russia and France.

Dr Blakeway has contributed to many journals and conferences, he has numerous journal submissions as well as taking an active role in the organisation, for example Dr Blakeway has been a Reviewer, Web Chair, Lead Conference Chair and Local Arrangement Chair.

Since joining Manchester University his focus is on Information Management and he contributes to the curriculum development and delivery of Distributed Databases and the Programming courses.
