Overview

Dr Stuart Stewart is a family medicine physician (GP) and research fellow of the Donal O'Donoghue Renal Research Centre (Northern Care Alliance) undertaking a Ph.D. in Epidemiology based between the Centre for Primary Care & Health Services Research and the Division of Cardiovascular Sciences. He is interested in the evolving prevalence of chronic kidney disease in UK Primary Care, with a focus on using electronic health record data to identify barriers to optimal diagnosis and management. He has experience in analysing big data sets, using R and R studio to conduct a range of statistical analyses including regression modeling, time-to-event analyses, and interrupted time series. His research interests also involve women's health, digital health, and evolving areas of research related to iron overload and its consequences on cardiometabolic disease.
