Biography

I'm a Reader in the Department of Computer Science at Manchester University. I hold a PhD in Computer Science from Aberdeen University and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Kent at Canterbury.

Before coming to work at Manchester, I was a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Cardiff University. Prior to that, I worked as a Research Fellow in the Department of Computing Science at Aberdeen.

  • Git workflows and mining software development behaviour from Git.
  • Test-driven development and behaviour driven development.
  • Software testing applied to semantics-rich technologies (e.g. databases, business rules, semantic web services).
  • The implementation, management and discovery of Business Rules.
  • Data curation/information quality management.
  • Pay-as-You-Go data integration and Data Spaces.
