Personal profile

Biography

I joined the Department of Social Statistics in July 2018. Previous to that, I worked as a research fellow at the Chair of Social Networks, ETH Zürich and the Department of Computer & Information Science, University of Konstanz.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Philosophy in Statistics, Stockholm University 2013
  • Licentiate of Philosophy in Statistics, Umeå University 2008
  • Master of Social Science with a major in Statistics, Umeå University 2006
  • Master of Science in Public Administration and Economics, Umeå University 2006

Research interests

My main research interest is in the field of multivariate statistics, and in particular developing methods and models for analysing multivariate social networks. Other interests lie in the area of statistical information theory and network sampling. I'm very passionate about working interdisciplinary and doing research that moves across scientific borders. As an example, I was previously a member of an ERC synergy project, working hand-in-hand with archaeologists and anthropologists on methods for analysing and modelling networks that are reconstructed from fragmented and spurious data.

Supervision information

I look forward working with students who wish to pursue social network research, both theoretical in terms of methods and model development, and applied across different disciplines.

Please feel free to send me an email with your resume and information about yourself, your major, technical background, specific application areas of interest (if any), and prior research experience (if any).
