Personal profile

Overview

I have an interdisciplinary background in Ecology, Environmental Science and Sociology. These superficially distinct but deeply connected disciplines have coalesced to define the research interests which I now explore as a doctoral candidate.

My research aims to explore sustainability and environmental crises through the lens of language - particularly its role in constructing worldviews and its deeply intimate relation with the material environment. Urban environments, as the dominate lifestyles of the modern world, serve as the sites of my research. Other salient themes include social constructivism, identity, enactivism, cosmology, decolonialism, capitalism, and the modern day challenges to diversity - of thoughts, of lifestyles, and of living things.
