Biography
I was born and raised in the peak district before moving to Manchester to study chemical engineering at the University of Manchester, the city where its study originated. In my third year I took the opportunity to study abroad for a semester in the University of Melbourne before coming back to Manchester to complete my design project for the purification of hydrogen. My personal unit step being to design a process swing adsorption column for the separation of carbon dioxide. In the final year of my degree, my dissertation was on the process of Viedma ripening under my now PhD supervisor Dr Thomas Vetter. After the completion of my degree I applied to become an ARAP student, a collaboration between the University of Manchester and the A*STAR Institute, to study a PhD in facet specific impurity incorporation under DR Thomas Vetter. I am currently living and studying in Singapore at ICES, part of the A*STAR Institute until the final year of my PhD.
