Personal profile
Overview
I am a film theorist interested in the beginnings and ends of the twentieth century as a means of historicising emerging terms (such as the Anthropocene) through the unstable medium specificities of the cinema.
I teach and lecture in the Department of Drama and Film. I teach on the modules Introduction to World Cinema and Introduction to Early Film Histories. I previously taught interdiscplinary approaches to climate crisis in the Centre for the History of Science, Technology and Medicine.
